We closely monitor student progress, adapting our programs to meet individual needs. In Literacy, our structured daily Literacy block encompasses all aspects of the English curriculum, guided by evidence-based approaches such as, Talk for Writing, Sounds-Write, Spelling Mastery, and Heggerty.
In Mathematics, teachers engage in rigorous data analysis through Elastik, which helps identify learning gaps. These insights inform the planning of ‘Daily Reviews’ to revisit and reinforce previously taught concepts. Lessons are structured around the PR1ME Mathematics program, where teachers are encouraged to use manipulatives to support conceptual understanding. Instruction follows the “I Do, We Do, You Do” model, promoting gradual release of responsibility and active student participation.
Our current specialist programs include Science, Performing Arts (Drama), Language (Japanese) and ICT which enriches our students’ educational experience, nurturing well-rounded learners.
We have a strong relationship with Ocean Reef Senior High School, which directly supports the continuity of learning from primary to secondary education. Our evolving partnership ensures that staff from both schools work collaboratively to align teaching practices and share valuable insights.
